Sooooo, ladies and gentlemen, here again is the much-anticipated(apparently) Grail War! As I'm sure most of you would have an idea about this already, but for those who don't, here's a little background for it:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Holy Grail. An artifact described again and again in legends as an all-powerful item. Its real form, a wish-granting phenomenon able to realize even the most unimaginable miracles. But such a power is not without price. Only one is permitted to hold it and use its awesome powers. Thus, the War begins. Seven Magi, seven Servants. A battle to the death. And to the victor, ultimate power.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this RP, everyone uses two characters: A Master and a Servant pairing. Masters are humans who can be either mages or normal humans(though in most cases, civilians who become Masters have no idea what the War is) who will be given a Servant by the Grail. For the Master bio, refer below:

Name:
Status: Mage or Civilian
Age:
Ability: (Magic for mages, duh. For normal humans and/or Mages, anything he/she is good at physically)
History:

As for Servants, they are the spirits of past, present, or future heroes of renown/infamy summoned by the Grail to fight for their Masters. Note that to be a Servant, he/she must be of legendary status. At their summoning, they are automatically classified into seven Classes, each with their own strengths/weaknesses. The Classes are:
Saber: Of the Servants, they have the best all-around capabilities, and usually possessing high resistance to magic. Servants in this class use a form of sword as a requirement.

Lancer: Most agile of the Servants. Servants who fall in this class usually posses an uncanny defense against ranged attacks. Also capable of resisting magic, though not as strong as Sabers. Servants in this class use a polearm as a requirement.

Archer: Servants who can act separately from their Masters. Also, they commonly have more Noble Phantasms than any other class. Possesses minimal magical resistance. Proficiency in a ranged weapon is a requirement in this class.

Rider: Servants who attained legendary status together with a mount or transportation (Note that it can't be machinery). Due to this, they are the fastest class. Riders also usually possess few but incredibly powerful Noble Phantasms. Possesses little to no magical defense.

Berserker: Servants who gain the ability to boost their abilities in exchange for sanity, trading their mind and will for power. Any Servant can fall under this class, but they are usually proficient in a close-range weapon.

Caster: Servants who have mastered a form of magic to epic levels. They usually have the power to materialize workshops to augment their own magics. Servants in this class are in most cases weak in combat.

Assassin: Servants who use stealth and deception. Though they usually possess a deadly Noble Phantasm, their otherwise-weak combat abilities would in most cases force them to rely on killing Masters than other Servants.

And mentioned there are Noble Phantasms. These are basically a Servant's signature weapon/skill/item. More than a useful tool or a killing blow, these are the symbols for that hero/heroine's identity. These factors are what helped the said Servant to be a legend.

Types of Noble Phantasms are:
Support: Rather than being offensive, these types of Noble Phantasms augment the Servant's abilities, or even give him/her an new one altogether.

Anti-Unit: Least destructive of Noble Phantasms, these types can't destroy something as big as a house, but can certainly be enough to kill one individual. Also the least consuming in terms of usage, so it can be reused several times.

Anti-Army: Noble Phantasms that can affect a group of opponents. Can be used far less often than Anti-Unit.

Anti-Fort: Most destructive type. Noble Phantasms that can not only affect a group of opponents, but can also destroy the landscape around it. Most consuming in usage, so it can only be used sparingly.

So for a Servant's bio, refer below:

Name:(Can be a real hero, anime character, or custom character)
Class:
Bio:
Noble Phantasm:(Make sure its something that the Servant either has, or is responsible for. Try to rank it in power, EX being the highest, and E the lowest. You can add up to 2 +'s for the stats, example: C++)
Stats:(Optional, with the same stats as the Noble Phantasm. The stats are Str, Agi, End, Mana, Luk)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And now that we're finished with that, the rules. Basically, its a battle royale where the Masters try to finish off each other's Servants using their own. Of course, Servants ARE ludicrously more powerful than their Master, so some participants target the enemy Master instead. The only Master-Servant pair left is the victor of the Grail War, and will be rewarded a forum power!(I'm still going to ask permission from Resi for this)

Okay, try to join eh?

Before anyone posts their Master/Servant pair, here's the map of the battlefield:

Image

Color code:
Light Blue: Manila bay(Has a number of ships and yachts there)
Dark Grey: Intramuros, an old, Spanish-style walled fortress, though mostly ruined buildings are left. A heritage of the old days, its usually flocked with tourists.
Light Grey: Roads (Note that there are three sections, so they're considered three separate areas.
Dark Blue: Hotel District: Most lavish hotels and restaurants for foreigners, businessmen, and high-class people are found there.
Flesh: Baclaran Church. Untouchable area for the War. Whereabouts of the Supervisor of the War.
Brown: Mall of Asia: One of the biggest shopping centers in the world. Consists of the Mall proper, the parking building, and the seaside park.
Green: De Lasalle University. A prestigious school in Manila. A group of tall buildings with limited land area.
(Puke?) Green: Residential areas. To the south is Las Pinas. The large portion is a mass of narrow streets and slum areas.

Note that participants should specify where they are in the map(with the exception of Assassin). One movement of area is equivalent to one turn.

Master: Liam Cumhaile
Age: 24
Status: Magus; Mage Association member
Ability: Observation and communication magic; Can plant runes in an area to serve as his eyes and can relay information to allies from a distance. Also an experienced hand-to-hand fighter.
Bio: A Magus from a low-ranking family, Liam has nonetheless acquired fame as a survivor of a Grail War(though technically, the one he helped stop was a fake). As true nature of the Holy Grail actually exists as multiple entities, he is sent again by the Association to investigate a new Grail appearing in Manila. Soon enough, the Grail "challenges" Liam again, engraving the ever familiar Command Spells on his arm.

Servant: Achilles
Class: Lancer
Bio: Hero of the Greeks in the Illiad, he was instrumental in the siege of Troy. Felled by Paris and Apollo through means of an arrow to his only mortal part, his heel.
Noble Phantasms:

Blessing of the Styx (Support; Rank B): An almost invisible field that surrounds Achilles save for his ankles, it makes Achilles regenerate after any attack that fails to destroy his whole body altogether. The barrier can be shattered by any attack that hits Achilles' ankles, thus rendering him vulnerable to damage. An attack powerful enough to destroy the entirety of his body also nullifies the Noble Phantasm's effect.

Shield of Achilles (Support; Rank A): Though every piece of Achilles' armor is crafted by the god Hephaestus, the shield is the only part that actually has power that can be considered as a Noble Phantasm. The shield draws power from every aspect of the world in its activation, giving him an explosion of power on a given action (swinging his lance, charging, etc.).

Manila. A city in an ageless land, where the bright buildings serve as a mask to the magic and mysticism of its soil. A land whose legends are a mystery to all those outside, where it seems likely a whole other world untouched by any other dwells. And now.... the mysterious Pearl of the Orient and its legends are about to be awakened once again, now connected to a great war of epic proportions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was nighttime in Intramuros. Though the hour was already late, the late-December occasions seemed to have turned the ruined city-fort back in time, as it was again alive with people, even if only at the most well-kept avenues.

"..."

A young man was leaning against a wall in the midst of the busy part of Intramuros. Passers-by that walked by instantly recognized him as a foreigner, and turned away at a moment's notice, thinking to themselves that their types were snobbish. His eyes closed and breathing slow, he seemed to be asleep. But inside his head, a conversation between two individuals was taking place.

"Lancer, what's the status?"

Another voice, resounding in his head as well, replied.

"I've confirmed it, Master. It's a Servant. And judging by his sneaking around, this is definitely Assassin."

Its been three whole days into the War, and this was his first encounter, he thought. The movement of this War was slower than the ones before, as if the participants now are either really over or unprepared. In any case, Assassin would definitely give the two of them the most trouble because of his Presence Concealment. Getting rid of him now seems most logical.

But before even that, the pair's actions are erratic. The Assassin in this was wasn't as cunning or as careful than the one in the last War. The Master then, is either a normal human, or a fool. His bet was on the former. So as a means of minimizing casualties in this War, eliminating this guy's Servant isn't just logical, but it should be the first step.

"Move in for the kill, Lancer."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple of streets away from the one the foreigner was in, the liveliness suddenly disappears. The scene of relatively-repaired structures were replaced by half-collapsed buildings, a reminder of the wars the place endured.

A shuffle of leather. A clink of metal pieces perfectly fitted unto one another. A lean figure lands with otherworldly grace atop an arch. The moonlight and the distant city lights were contested by the silver luminescence emanating from the figure. Clearly, it was beyond human. But its form, undoubtedly, is. A man donning a plate of black and silver. The black steel covering his arms and feet. And a large, round object strapped to his back, which looked like it was carved out of stone.

A slight shift in his expression. His crimson eyes narrowed, and an almost palpable sense of combat can be felt radiating from him.

As if answering someone in front of him, he spoke with a low, but amused voice.

"I thought you'd never say that. Time to show these 'Heroes' what real combat is about."

Jumping down, he rushes through the streets like a raging whirlwind, anything loose enough getting ripped apart in his wake.

CRASH.

The whole front section of a particularly large building was torn down in his entry. Now wielding a long bronze spear, he looks straight with eyes that can pierce through lesser men.

A boy was seating at a rock fence near the Mall of Asia as if waiting for somebody. It was already nighttime when a girl wearing a black school uniform with red eyes appeared beside the boy.

"You surprise me...Caster." said the boy.

"I am sorry master. Anyway there seems to be another "one" in Manila Bay...Orders?" replied the girl.

"Since there seems to be another servant in there...Do it." answered the boy.

The girl started to walked towards the water and jumped in. The boy stared at the light below the water and saw that fishes are floating dead on the water and the ships sailing suddenly stopped. He backed away a few meters from the edge when he noticed that a blue light was now being emitted from below and saw that the water is now giving off steam.

From a distance he can see a stray cat was trying to snatch the fishes floating but fell in the water. He was surprised to see that the cat was being electrified and eventually melted, leaving only the bones behind. He surveyed the whole water and saw that the lower starboard side was red due to intense heat being given off.

"That's enough caster. Leave the magic circles below the water and resurface." he said as he walks toward the edge of the water.

"Yes master. What now?" she replied, now beside the boy.

"Patience my dear servant...Patience..." the boy answered softly and looked up into the starless night sky.

The night sky would have been enough to draw the attention of most pedestrians, however there was one who thought different. A student , attention fully absorbed by a black console held in both hands as he walked along the road leading out of De La Salle university.

"Fun time ought to start in a while...",mumbled Rick, eyes glued to the illuminated screen filled with fluctuating numbers at opposite sides overlooking a pristine ice field which served as a stage for what looked to be a hulking armored cyan figure and a fighter who had enough weapons for an army.

"Should you really be doing that?",chided another voice beside him somewhat annoyed, resembling the fighter on screen minus the weapons, gray hair bound by a bandanna.

"Chill Archer, you're taking point anyway right?",the gamer answered, proceeding to button mash a little.

"Apparently...",sighed the servant, fortunate that no one seemed to pay them much attention at the moment.

DING-DONG...

It was dismissal time. Another day has ended for De La Salle's graduating History students. Class was finally over, however, most of the students groaned in frustration as they saw an endless line of cars adjacent to where the school's exit was. It was 7:00 p.m. in the evening, and in the students' minds, it could only mean one thing. A traffic jam.

However, one particular student didn't find it too annoying. Carlito, known as Caloy to his friends, was taking his time wandering the traffic-stricken streets, deep in thought. How the hell did all of this happen? Knowing what happened yesterday would severely impact his fate. Pulling back the right sleeve of his uniform, he gazed at the tattoo clearly burned at his shoulder. Whatever did this, and what a mean thing it was, "..didn't exactly have a good sense of what art is..", however, three K's could be made out of the mess. Only one thing came to his mind, he seemed to be called to a mission.

At least this way, my thesis would be complete. he reassured himself. Along with the tattoo came a being, and as much as pure coincidence would have it, it was his favorite legend of all Philippine legends. Being a descendant of a famous Filipino hero, he felt tremendous awe as he gazed upon the being who seems he had summoned. The being was the spirit of revolution, the symbol of Philippine will against the cruel Spaniards who had so long abused his country. His thesis.

"Tonight's the big night. No time to think of what happened in the past. I've got to focus this night... this night..." he said to himself. Sweat was pouring profusely from his forehead. He then suddenly remembered what his grandfather used to tell him back when he was little. "You may not believe me, Caloy, but lolo is a salamangkero. We have magical blood, Caloy..." He never did believe his grandfather's words, especially when his father told him that lolo is fantasizing about the past again. It never made sense until now. Lolo was right.

"Uhm, Manong, please come out..." he whispered, as he entered a dark alley. Out of the blue, a hulking man appeared behind the boy. He didn't speak, but his physique alone proved that he is more than capable of protecting his master from harm. "I feel we have to go to Intramuros, until then, I ask you please take care of me." Again the man did not speak, but his audible growl made the boy understand. "Thank you."

It will be easy for us....." he said and a bell rang, "Popcorn?" he said to himself and slowly walking to the popcorn vendor, "Pabili po, yung cheese flavor po." and handed out 10 pesos.

He walked and entered a dark alley near Arisocrat, "Appear, Rider....." he said and a boy came down riding a broom, "Yes, Master." the boy said, "Let's go to the parking lot at MOA, I hope our opponent doesn't see us there." he said and the servant quickly answered,"Yes! Another Ride! Woohoooo!!!!!", "Patience, Rider, We will only burrow not steal." he laughed and quickly rides on the broom. "Let's go...... Rider, The War has Started, between 7 masters and 7 servants. Let us be patient, we want our opponent to be coming to us, not us coming to them. let's don't waste our energy...." he said and swoooosh, they went to the parking lot immiedietly.

Upon arriving, they saw a Ferrari F430 parked, he quickly touched the car, "Easy....." the car quickly opened and he sat on the passenger seat, Rider sat on the drivers seat, "Cool, how did you do that master?", "Easy, I have this ability to see the structure of any object,", he said, "What a master I have.", he quickly started the car and drove off.

"Master, we have been spotted!" a young man said to an innocent boy right next to him.

The little boy next to him was on the ground was on the ground, covering himself in his friar's cloak in terror

"Master! We must not dawdle! The enemy is upon us!"

"I... I'm scared..." the boy whimpered under his cloak.

"Master, we have a divine providence watching over us. We need not fear; I do not." said the assassin servant and took the boy in his arms and jumped out of the building.

They landed safely on the pavement outside their hiding place, and their enemy just in front of them.

The dust settles. Lancer is looking directly at what seems to be a pair of children. A teenage boy wearing a white tunic is standing in front of a younger child, curled up in terror of him. He can sense certain feeling of power coming from the older child, marking him as a Servant.

"So the War does not even spare innocent children," he says to himself, "Master of Assassin, I will relieve you of your burden soon enough."

Lancer crouches into a sprinting position, holding the downward-pointing spear with two arms. Mana was sharply rising in the air; Lancer meant business.

"Assassin, prepare yourself!!!"

With a roar, Lancer leaps forward, stirring the air into a thunderous noise behind him.
